SHOE DRIVE
SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition describes itself as responding to homelessness proactively, compassionately, and effectively. It makes sure people living on the streets get help, whether it’s a cup of coffee and a smile, connection to services, or necessities for daily living.
But we’re told they sometimes have to make sure a participant’s shoes are completely disintegrated before they give them another pair, because otherwise there won’t be a pair for those who haven’t got any shoes at all.
So…SHOE DRIVE!
We’re looking for used shoes in adult sizes, so please check your closets from now through Jan. 3!
Either drop them off with your Sunday lunches on Jen’s doorstep: 153 S. Norton Ave.
Or any time at Rhonda’s front door at 1238 Meadowbrook in the Olympic-LaBrea neighborhood.
If you have a lot of shoes, call Rhonda at 323-804-1698 and she’ll gladly pick them up.
