Chelsey Goodan Backyard Book Party

LET GIRLS LEAD: An afternoon celebrating the power of teen girls with DemocraShe + Chelsey Goodan, author of Underestimated: The Wisdom and Power or Teenage Girls

Y'all know Chelsey Goodan, right? The amazing Hoe-Dog member/activist/writer/ mentor/academic tutor – and my friend?!  Y’all know she’s written a bestseller, right?  About teenage girls?  And that Oprah and Reese have put it on their book club lists?  And that you can’t walk into an airport bookstore or turn on the morning news without seeing Hoda or Jenna or some other TV host talking about it.

The book is called UNDERESTIMATED – The Wisdom and Power of Teenage Girls. And Chelsey is coming to Hoe-Dog to do a reading and chat about it.

This event is in partnership with DemocraShe, the incredible nonprofit that Sarah Jakle and Jessica Stamen founded to support and guide teenage girls from underserved communities into leadership roles. Chelsey is their Mentorship Director, so it makes perfect sense!  Also, Chelsey will be joined by some of the girls she’s worked with, and they will share some of their experiences!

I hope you all join me in celebrating Chelsey, DemocraShe and the wisdom and power of teenage girls!
