Tour + Habitat Restoration

Tour + Habitat Restoration at Westwood Greenway

For those of you who aren't quite ready to accept that election season has started, there is another great opportunity -- this one offers fresh air, sunshine and a lesson in native plants from an expert -- on Sunday, March 24.

All the various chapters of Climate Reality are meeting at The Westwood Greenway -- which is the "park" on Exposition Blvd, right next to the light rail in Westwood.   Why there?  Because the Greenway is an example of what should be happening everywhere in LA: it is a park that cleans water while providing an island of native habitat for birds, butterflies and other animals that can't survive on all the non-native plants we bring in.

LA Chapter Chair and Biodiversity Expert, Charles Miller will be giving the tour, which will be followed by a service opportunity to help maintain the Greenway.  The tour starts at 10:00, but late arrivals are welcome. Maintenance will start at 11:30 and you are welcome to stay for as long as you wish. Friends and family are welcome!
