MEET STEVE PIERSON

Steve Pierson is running for Laura Friedman’s seat in the California State Assembly.  

I know, I know that seems like snooze-a-roo, but it’s not.  In fact it’s really freakin’ important.  As we’ve talked about ad-nauseum, everything we care about – repro rights, environmental protections, voting rights – starts at the state level.

So then, what’s the prob, you ask. Isn’t our State Leg controlled by the Dems?  Why should I support anyone in this race?  And to those questions,  I sigh, and then trying not to yell, say:  didn’t we learn anything in 2016?  Things happen – bad things – when we stop paying attention. Not that long ago, California was Republican.  How do you think we got Prop 13? Do we want more prop 13’s?  If so, then sure, ignore this race, BUT if you want a rep who is smart and fair and cares about the climate and making sure everyone has easy access to the polls, and to abortions, then come meet Steve and see if he’s your guy.  I bet the answer will be yes.
