CLOTHING DRIVE
That’s right folks! We’re having another CLOTHING DRIVE. This one will be in MID CITY. We will be collecting for MY FRIEND’S PLACE, which is a drop in center for homeless youth 12-25 years old.
One thousand young people between the ages of 12 and 25 are provided comprehensive, life-changing services at MFP every year. Their mission is to assist and inspire homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives… and they need our help. Right now they’re looking for masculine clothes, blankets, sleeping bags and tents.
On Saturday, July 8th, Hang Out Do Good (HODG) will be accepting any and all of these items in the driveway at 1238 Meadowbrook Avenue (near Olympic and La Brea) Clean out your closets! Declutter your linen closet! Dig around in your garage! We’ll be collecting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Also, feel free to buy new tents/sleeping bags and send to Rhonda Hayter, 1238 Meadowbrook Ave, LA, CA 90019. I just sent her this tent and a sleeping bag.
